Announcing: open house Mondays

Manchester Makerspace begins hosting Open House meetings on Monday from 6pm – 8pm starting today!

Work Party Update

Cleaning, demolitions, drywall, and paint are all finished. It’s starting to look like somewhere people can get things done in now, after many volunteer hours of work.

Open House

Starting this evening, we’ll have at least one Board member available every Monday from 6pm – 8pm to offer tours and discuss the development of the space. This is your chance to invite friends/family/coworkers down to see what this is all about. If you have any questions, send us an email at <> and we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.

Officer Updates

While members (and non-members) get their hands dirty cleaning up the space in general, our Officers are hard at work planning and building our workspaces. If you know of equipment that could be donated to help, fill out our form

Machining

Our Machining Officer, Christopher Perry has repaired the gantry crane in our loading dock. After its rebuild, re-greasing, and a replacement cable, it’s back to its original lifting capacity.

Woodworking

David Belser has joined the list of Officers, and is planning the woodworking space. If you’re interested in working with dead trees, contact him to make your project needs known. Otherwise, we’ll work toward building a ‘general purpose’ woodworking space. Right now, the extent of our woodworking shop is a single lonely table saw.

Electronics

Dan Perrinez has been named the Electronics officer, and is planning a soldering/testing workstation as a starting point. Equipment donations would be greatly appreciated.

Automotive

Jesse O’Brien has been named the Automotive officer, and is planning a space for members to bring vehicles in to make parts for them.

The next 3 months are going to be full of activity and new developments. Get involved in making Manchester a more creative place today!
